Unbelievable!
I was in heaven yesterday! it has been my dream ever since I found out i was born in Augreat stralia, to visit my dear birth country again. Yesterday was by far the best day yet! Heaven was Great Barrier reef. Great Barrier reef was so much better than all the pictures I have been drooling over on the net, and so much more unbelievable than what the facts say about it, even though they are quite amazing as well!
Great Barrier reef lies on the northcoast of Queensland . It is the largest corall reef in the world. It is amazingly 2000 km long, and you can even see it from space. The reef is on UNESCO'S world heritage list, and also one of CNN's seven natural wonders of the world.
I am not exactly the only one that has been to this heaven, every year 2 million tourists visit the reef, two MILLION, that is crazy. Sadly though, like so many other natural tourist attractions, the reef suffers from all the tourism.
Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved dolfines. Yesterday i got to swim with them!! I had to pay som money though, but it was truly worth it. Luckily I had taken my divers certificate before I came. If not, I wouldn't have been able to take the best and longest "tour" around the reef. You could also go snorkling or in a boat with a glass bottom. A lot of old people did that. I personally think you would get most out of the scooba diving!
dolfins wasn't exactly the only "fish" I saw. There are over 1500 different fish species, 125 shark species and 215 bird species. I saw coulors I never knew excisted.
I have to go now, I am going too meet a friend that I met yesterday. Today I am going to learn how to surf! I can't wait. He is from here, so he is going to teach me, he even knows the best places to hit the waves! I love his dialect, australian is so cool. He calles EVERYBODY mate, it is so funny!

SOUTH AFRICA
Dear Diary
This is my fifth day in Cape Town. I am truly loving it here, but I think it is awful seeing the huge difference between rich and poor. I really see how lucky I am to come from such a wealthy country, and have parents with good jobs. Mum and dad are in business meetings all the time. I am not really lonely though, because they introduced me to a colleagues son, and he lives here. We have been down tanning at the beach, and swimming in the Indian Ocean! Yesterday we went sky-diving. It was the craziest experience I have ever done in my whole life. I am still blasted. The thing was, that i wasn't really prepared, he just asked me and he said yes, he even paid for it. Yes, he is extremely rich, that's the kind of people I have been hanging around with here. Money isn't really a problem.. If you wanna do something you do it, or you pay someone else to do it for you. One thing though that is incredaobly cool is theirdialect, it is very special, but I like it. I am understanding more and more after hanging around with Nelson ( yes, his parents are very found of Nelson Mandela). The money here is called rand, and I find it quite funny, because you have to use a lot of rand just to buy something small, and that is very different from Norway, when you can buy a packet of gum for like 10 kr. This time I am only here on a family vacation, but I know I wanna come back, and when I come back, I wanna see more of the other side of life here, the poor one, and to say it in a less nice way; the blacker side, sadly.

The countries boardering are Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Swaziland.
South-Africa has a long coastal line, which includes both the Atlantic and the Indian Oceans.
The Capital is Cape town, but the largest city is Johannesburg. These are the ethnic groups in South-Africa;

Even if the Black population is by far the largest one, they have been supressed for a long time. the African indigenous tribes were offcourse there from the start. The Boers were the first europeans to come to South-Afrika, they were farmers who settled from Holland. Later the Brittish arrived, and they won the war against the Boers to rule over South-Africa.
In 1948 Apartheid was introduced, this was a segregation law shich segragated the black population and the white population. The white pupulation was off course in charge, and stole all the rights from the black population. Apartheid lasted for 36 years, and ended in 1994. Nelson Mandela was a very important man in this matter.
The country has a very varied topography and climate. It has got extreme desert, but also a lush subtropical climate. The avarage temperature is 28 degrees in the summer, and 8 degrees in the winter. (Cape town)

Blood Diamond
Blood Diamond
This wasn't the first time i have seen this film, I have acttually seen it several times, still though, it touches me every time. It is such a well made film. The scenery, pictures, music, setting, it is all so well put together and composed.
The film is very strong, and makes you think how lucky you are, and how unlucky so many other people are. It shows that the world is unfair, and it is difficult to be good in a world like this. It shows you the beckside of things, and how things and buisness really work out. What is great is that the film didn't just open my eyes, but it seeemed like it also opened the worlds eyes.
In the end of the film they show you a text about the diamond treaty which was made, and that blood diamonds are going more of the marked. The scary thing though is that you can't even be sure if you are buying a blood diamond, or if you are buying a diamond found without all the suffering, or if they are mixed.
After seeing this film the first time some of my friends and me made our own treaty, about never buyind any diamonds. It will not change the world, but it might make a slight difference.

I thought it was great what the man that owned the children's home said: I don't think people are good or bad, i just think they are people, who can do good or bad actions.

Episk diktning

1) Episk diktining er fortellinger som er oppfunnet eller oppdiktet. Fortellinger er også tolkninger, enten de er oppdiktet eller ikke.

2) Forskjellen på roman og novelle er romanen er lengre og har flere konflikter, personer, skildringer og større tidsspenn. Novellen er kortere, kommer fortere inn i handlingen og har ikke så mange personer, skildringer og konflikter som romanen.
3) Novelle kommer fra et italiensk ord som betyr "nyhet".
4) En myte er oppdiktede fortellinger som skal prøve å forklare verden og tilværelsen. De er fortellinger om guder og helte, eller de er usanne forestillinger om personer og fenomener.

ENGLISH HOMEWORK
Point of view means someones angle in something. For example in the story by Roald Dahl; The Way up to Heaven, the wife has a different point of view of her life then the husband does. When you read the story you can understand why the wife does what she does if you try to see it in her point of view. Some people may understand the husband as well, but I don't think many people would see his point of view in life, because he doesnæt seem like a very nice person, and excpecially husband.
Concord is the way the english verb changes whether it is singular - third person or plural.
example: Some girls never eat. (they)
The girl eats all the time. (she)

The difference between adjectives and adjectives is that adjectives is one describing word, which you put in frint of nouns and pronouns. Exsample: red, yellow, big or small. Adverb on the other side describes the adjevtiv more correctly, and can also describe verbs, or even another adverb.
excample: discustinlgly bad, they drove faster
Characterisation:
Walker, The Buttler in the story "The starirway up tp Heaven"
He is not one of the main characters in the story, but he is still a character, a subordinate one. He seems like a quiet and loyal man. He is polite and answers the way a butler is supposed to. He seems kind and like the perfect butler. He is always around the house, and must know everything that goes on, but still does not say a word. I think he knows that Mr. Foster amuses himself over the fact that his wifes can't stand being late, and that Mr.Foster provokes it, without his wife complaining, because he has such power over her. He still doesn't say anything, but I think it is important for Mrs. Foster that he is around the house, to have somone to talk to, and someone in the house who is nice to her.
